At the beginning of my graphic design and communications career, I had the opportunity to work with a large advertising agency and corporate communications department.
These two environments provided experience regarding communication tools, client views and development of final projects.
As my career advanced, I was exposed to different types of technology. In my career, having exposure to different technologies helps me create more effective solutions.
Currently, I work within a major medical center as well as a large university in Pennsylvania. Within these two environments, I am exposed to challenging projects as well as a diverse group of professionals in the educational and medical field.
As technology for communications has changed, I have met the challenges to stay current and use the new technology to create the most effective solutions for my customers.
All stages of my career have helped develop a winning creative solution for any communication challenge. I know that if we dream it, we can create it.
I currently work for the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology at the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences within the University of Pittsburgh as a communications and graphic design specialist.
In addition to my professional career I also serve as a volunteer with:
- Kairos Prison Ministry International Foundation
– Inside Team Volunteer- Pittsburgh Multiple Sclerosis Empowerment Support Group
– Support Group Leader- National Multiple Sclerosis Society
– MS Leaders Circle Advisory Council- Music for MS
– Board member
As a member of the MS community I fell blessed that I am able to be a part of something that gives people hope, and I know that someday we will be able to celebrate the cure for MS.
Thanks,
Joe
